Call for Nominations for Editor-in-Chief


The EDAA Embedded Systems Special Interest Group (EMSIG) and the Schloss Dagstuhl – Leibniz Zentrum für Informatik invite nominations for the position of Editor-in-Chief (EiC) for Leibniz Transactions on Embedded Systems (LITES). The EiC appointment is for a four-year term, from July 2022 to June 2026.

The EiC of LITES is responsible for developing the vision for the journal over the next four years; aligning that vision with the ongoing strategic needs of LITES; collaborating with the publisher Schloss Dagstuhl on journal features, functionality, production, and overall strategy; and developing an editorial team in agreement with EMSIG for outreach to the author community as well as for the efficient and thorough peer review and editing of contributions. The EiC will report to the EDAA/EMSIG and Schloss Dagstuhl.

The nominees should provide the following documentation:

  • a short biography (up to 250 words;)
  • a CV with list of publications; and
  • the vision on the transactions (up to 300 words)

Self-nomination is permitted and encouraged. When the EiC is nominated by one or more nominators, then the nominator(s) should provide supporting letter(s). The selection of the candidates will be carried out by a committee set up for this purpose by the Strategic Advisory Board of EMSIG.

We seek candidates with excellent publications track record in embedded systems, strong leadership skills, high integrity and ethical standards, established organizational and management skills, prior participation in editorial boards and strong willingness to strengthen LITES presence among the embedded systems community.
